September 29, 2025
Kathryn Wylde, President and CEO of the Partnership for New York City, issued this statement following Mayor Eric Adams’ withdrawal from the New York City mayoral election:
“Mayor Eric Adams has led an administration with many accomplishments that will be remembered by New Yorkers long into the future. He has championed the city’s rapid and successful economic recovery following the pandemic, resulting in all-time highs in jobs, economic output, and tax revenues. He has had an unprecedented record in reducing gun violence and bringing down crime. His administration won the first comprehensive reform of the city’s zoning laws since 1961 and has pushed through a number of important local rezoning initiatives which will accelerate the pace and reduce the cost of housing in the coming years. Improvements in sanitation services, educational attainment, and public safety all will be the record that Mayor Adams leaves behind him.”
