Brooklyn-Queens Expressway Expert Panel Report

Overview

The Panel examined New York City’s critical interstate project, a corridor of the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway (BQE) that faces end-of-service-life roadway and safety concerns. The result was a series of findings and recommendations issued to Mayor de Blasio and the New York City Department of Transportation to both extend the safe and useful life of the BQE in the near term and to lay out a vision to transform a larger scope of the corridor through a long-term infrastructure project.
